United States District Court Judge Matthew F. Kennelly appointed Myron Cherry to a leadership position in the coordinated pretrial proceedings for all product liability lawsuits filed in federal court over the side effects of testosterone replacement (or “low T”) drugs. The underlying lawsuits involve allegations that the drug makers failed to adequately warn about the risk of heart attacks, strokes, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism and death associated with the use of “low T” drugs, such as Androgel, Testim, Axiron, Androderm, Depo-Testosterone and other similar drugs. The United States Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation consolidated all such federal lawsuits in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. The consolidated action is entitled In re: Testosterone Replacement Therapy Products Liability Litigation, Case No. 14-cv-1748, MDL No. 2545 (N.D. Ill.).
